Otrivine Child Nasal Drops 0.05% contain xylometazoline hydrochloride for short-term relief of a blocked nose caused by colds, hay fever, allergic rhinitis and sinusitis. The lower-strength 10ml drops are specifically intended for children aged 6–12 years and can provide decongestant relief for up to 10 hours.

  • Children aged 6–12 years: 1–2 drops into each nostril up to twice daily under adult supervision.
  • Do not give more than 2 doses in any 24 hours.
  • Do not use for more than 5 consecutive days without medical advice.
  • Follow the current leaflet and use only in the nose.
  • Pharmacy medicine.
  • Do not use in children under 6 years.
  • Do not use with other sympathomimetic decongestants.
  • Do not use with MAO inhibitors or within 2 weeks of stopping them, or with beta-blockers unless advised.
  • Seek advice with cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism or glaucoma.

Protect from heat. Once opened, use within 28 days. Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.05% w/v. Excipients include benzalkonium chloride, disodium phosphate, disodium edetate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, sorbitol, hypromellose and purified water.
