Loratadine Oral Solution 5mg/5ml (100ml) is a once-daily, generally non-drowsy antihistamine liquid for relief of allergic rhinitis and hay fever symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose and itchy or watery eyes. It may also be used for urticaria (hives) in adults and children over 2 years.

  • Adults and children over 12 years: 10ml once daily.
  • Children aged 2–12 years weighing more than 30kg: 10ml once daily.
  • Children aged 2–12 years weighing 30kg or less: 5ml once daily.
  • Use the supplied measuring device and follow the current pack/leaflet.
  • Do not use if allergic to loratadine or any ingredient.
  • Do not give to children under 2 years.
  • Seek advice with severe liver problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Loratadine is usually non-drowsy, but rare drowsiness can occur; do not drive if affected.
  • Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Do not freeze.
  • Keep the bottle in the outer carton to protect from light.
  • Use within the period stated after opening and do not use after the expiry date.

Loratadine 5mg per 5ml oral solution. Excipients vary by manufacturer and may include propylene glycol, glycerol, sucrose or sweetener, citric acid, sodium benzoate, flavouring and purified water; check the supplied pack/leaflet.
