  • Take exactly as directed on the supplied pack/leaflet or by a pharmacist/doctor.

  • Iron may be better absorbed away from food, but it can be taken with food if stomach upset occurs.
  • Keep iron medicines well away from children.

  • Do not use in iron-overload conditions unless specifically advised.
  • Iron can interact with medicines including levothyroxine, tetracyclines and quinolone antibiotics; separate doses as advised.
