If you've ever had a high blood pressure reading at a clinic and wondered whether it was 'just nerves' — you're asking the right question. Up to a quarter of people with raised clinic readings have normal blood pressure the rest of the time, a phenomenon known as white coat hypertension.

A small cuff is fitted to your upper arm in store — it takes minutes. Connected to a discreet monitor, it inflates automatically every 30 minutes during the day and hourly overnight, recording your blood pressure as you live your normal life: working, walking, sleeping.
You return the monitor the next day and receive a full written report showing your daytime average, night-time average and dipping pattern — a far richer picture than any single reading. Our pharmacist goes through the results with you and, where needed, shares them with your GP.
It rules white coat hypertension in or out, catches masked hypertension (normal in clinic, high at home), and shows whether your pressure dips properly at night — an independent marker of heart risk. If you're about to start, stop or change blood pressure medication, this is the data that decision should rest on.
